When I feel vulnerable, I think back to Billy Joel’s song. I see myself there, in every word of his lyrics. Yes, this is exactly what I feel like when I am in love. This must be what my lover sees.

Self-sufficient, proud, strong, but also careless, whimsical, a bundle of paradoxes with all the heat of fire and gentleness of water.
